Spring projects

I have been admiring terrariums online for a few months now. I love the different jars and the pretty bitof green the moss brings. I have been waiting for the chance to make one all winter. We have lots of moss in our front yard so I figure now is the perfect time. What I really wanted was a really great apothecary jar to build it in. I thought the height & interesting shape would look good on my dining room table. But my decor budget is tight so I headed to the thrift store instead. Lucky for me I found some great things there. The cutest glass jar that looks like an acorn. I can't wait to finish it, hopefully it turns out ok. The girls are excited to help me put it together. On Etsy I found lots of cute gnome houses and mushrooms for terrariums. I think they will be so cute. The other cute thing I found was a little cheese board with a glass dome cover. I think I am going to paint the board white and make a cute spring arrangement under glass. Maybe a bird & nest or eggs. We'll see...

Blah...

That's how I feel today. Didn't get enough sleep last night and everyone woke up late for school so we were in a rush. Now I'm supposed to be cleaning up while Doodlebug is at school. But instead I sit here reading blogs & loving all the decor ideas I see. I want to start decorating right now. I wish I had a basement full of stuff to repurpose into something great! I need to get a present for the party Doodlebug is going to tonight, she is very excited, it's her first party. Sissy gets to have a sleepover with her Nanny & Papa. I better be off & at least get dressed so I can get to school on time

How not to start your own blog...

In December, before Christmas, I decided to start a blog. I have started following several blogs in the last year and thought it was something I could do. My oldest daughter has special needs and many of the blogs I have followed have children with special needs as well. The support given by other bloggers to these families is amazing. I thought it would be a great way to connect with others who might deal with some of the same things our family does.
So? Great idea but after making my blog I got caught up in Christmas and New Years, one hospital stay and a lingering flu bug, then in a blink it is Valentines' day and I hadn't even made one post!
Now it's done & now I can hopefully make this more regular, we'll see how it goes...
